According to the outlet, the mood in the White House is optimistic, and it appears the peace plan will be presented to Zelensky as a done deal.
“What we’re going to present [to Ukraine] is reasonable,” said a senior White House official.
According to the paper, the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump believes that Zelensky, who is under pressure both on the battlefield and domestically because of the escalating corruption scandal, will be forced to accept what he is offered.
Earlier it became known that the U.S. administration hopes to reach a framework agreement on resolving the conflict in Ukraine by the end of November. It is noted that Trump’s team will soon make public a new draft peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv.
