19.11.2025 - 18:02U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll met in Kyiv with Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi and Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Syrskyi, in particular, briefed the American delegation on the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
“I held a productive working meeting with the American delegation led by U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll. During the meeting, I informed our American colleagues about the current situation on the battlefield,” Syrskyi wrote on his Facebook page.
The commander-in-chief added that he discussed with the American side strengthening Ukraine’s capabilities in air defense, unmanned systems, and personnel training.
Shmyhal also reported that he met with Driscoll.
“We focused on the next steps in implementing the historic defense agreements reached by [Volodymyr] Zelensky and U.S. President [Donald] Trump,” the Ukrainian defense minister wrote on his Telegram channel.
Back in September, Zelensky stated that he wanted to conclude agreements with Washington in the near future on arms procurement and drone production.
As reported by Reuters, citing the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, the American delegation led by Driscoll is in Kyiv to assess the situation and discuss options for ending the conflict.
