7.7 million Ukrainians are currently outside Ukraine.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko in his Telegram channel.
“Currently, 7.7 million Ukrainians are abroad, of which 5.3 million are in the EU,” the politician said.
He cited this number based on data from Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic institutions. According to him, the living conditions of Ukrainian citizens abroad were discussed during a report by the Rada’s temporary commission on internally displaced persons and others.
Earlier, it was reported that more than half of the Ukrainian refugees had left Warsaw. According to the mayor of the Polish capital, Rafał Trzaskowski, at the peak moment, 350,000 Ukrainians arrived in Warsaw.
