CBOS notes that for the first time since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the dominant opinion among Poles is that the priority should be achieving peace and ending hostilities, even if it requires Kyiv to make territorial or sovereignty concessions.
Currently, this view is supported by 55% of respondents, compared to 39% in September 2024 and just 26% in April 2022.
Only 31% of Polish respondents believe that Ukraine should continue fighting without making any concessions to Russia. For comparison, in September 2024, 46% held this view, and in April 2022, the figure was 59%.
