Ukraine announced the risk of a new encirclement for the Armed Forces

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces may face encirclement due to the advance of Russian troops near Velyka Novosilka.

The Ukrainian analytical center DeepState reported on this risk in its Telegram channel.

“The enemy continues to cut through the Vremivka salient, threatening to encircle our forces,” the publication states.

According to the analytical center, Russian forces are attempting to encircle the town of Velyka Novosilka by cutting off supply routes for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). The most critical situation for the Ukrainian army is unfolding near Makarivka, south of Velyka Novosilka. Additionally, the report confirms that Russian troops have taken control of Novyi Komar, located north of the settlement.

Earlier, reports from Ukraine mentioned the possible cutting off of roads near Velyka Novosilka in the near future. According to an AFU soldier with the call sign “Mucnoy”, all routes from the settlement will soon be under Russian control.
