11.04.2024 - 08:20Public opinion polls indicate that almost 75% of Poles do not want the involvement of the Polish army and other NATO countries in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
As reported by Euractiv, the results of a CBOS poll testify to this.
74.8% of respondents are against the involvement of the Polish army or other NATO countries in the Russian-Ukrainian war, while 10.2% would support it.
The latter figure is close to the data from a previously published United Surveys poll, according to which 9.4% of respondents believe that if necessary, Polish military personnel could be mobilized to help Ukraine. This survey also showed an increase in Poles’ readiness to allow their fellow citizens-volunteers to fight for Ukraine.
39% of respondents believe that NATO’s response to Russia’s war against Ukraine has been too cautious, however, 37% believe that the Alliance has responded appropriately. 14% consider NATO’s reaction to be “excessive,” and 10% have not yet formed an opinion.
Opinions regarding Ukraine’s immediate accession to NATO are almost evenly divided: 47.7% would be against it, while 40% would support this step.
