‘This will not be endless’: The White House revealed how long aid will be provided to Ukraine

The United States will not provide military assistance to Ukraine indefinitely.

This statement was made during a briefing by the White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications, John Kirby.

“Today, we announced the allocation of 200 million dollars, and we will continue to help as much as we can, but the assistance will not be limitless,” he said.

Kirby clarified that in the short term, the United States has the opportunity to support both Ukraine and Israel. However, he refused to specify what “in the short term” means. Much depends on how intensively the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will expend ammunition and the extent to which Israel’s defense industry can supply its military with munitions, the official noted.

On the morning of October 7th, Israel experienced an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. Following the massive shelling, Hamas fighters infiltrated border areas in the southern part of the Jewish state.

The military wing of the Palestinian movement announced the “Al-Aqsa Deluge” operation. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the start of the “Iron Swords” operation in the Gaza Strip.

Against the backdrop of the escalating Middle East conflict, concerns have arisen in Ukraine that military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the United States might cease.

As previously stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Kyiv is concerned about a potential shortage of financial resources and weaponry amid the war in Israel.
