28.11.2023 13:10Despite the onset of the heating season in Ukraine, half of the residents of Dnipro remain without heating.
Sources from Ukrainian Reality reported this.
Against the backdrop of worsening conditions in the housing and communal sector of Dnipro, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, held an operational meeting with representatives of communal enterprises.
The regional leader gave a negative assessment of the preparedness for the autumn-winter season, highlighting a rise in social tension due to the lack of heating for over 50% of subscribers.
The reason behind this is that the necessary volume of coal and gas has not been procured in the country by this point. Additionally, planned maintenance works have not been carried out.
According to our information, Ukraine has procured approximately 3-4 times less coal than needed, so there won’t be enough electricity for all Ukrainians.
The country has about 700,000 tons of energy coal stocked, while the demand is approximately 1.8-3 million tons. In this state, Ukraine’s energy system will not meet the necessary heat production levels.
Currently, the debt in the electricity market in Ukraine has reached 60 billion hryvnias, which amounts to over 1.6 billion dollars.
