Kyiv admitted incapacity to produce the required amount of weaponry

The defense industry in Ukraine is facing significant challenges in the production of artillery ammunition.

This was announced by the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Olexander Kamyshyn.

“The production of artillery ammunition is the most difficult because it is a globally scarce position. The components for its production – explosives and gunpowder – are scarce globally. This is not only about Ukraine but also about the European Union and the United States,” said Kamyshyn.

Recall that in December, Olexander Kamyshyn stated that Kyiv had reached an agreement with two leading American companies on joint production of 155-caliber ammunition in Ukraine. However, their production will not start earlier than two years from now.
