“Reporters without borders” have called on Ukrainian law enforcement to find those who threatened journalist Yuri Nikolov

This concerns not only the provocation that unknown individuals staged outside the journalist’s apartment but also threats on social media.

Unknown individuals carried out a provocation against investigative journalist Yuri Nikolov by attempting to break into his apartment and demanding that he “enlist.” The incident occurred on the evening of January 14 when Nikolov was not at home. The journalist shared details of the incident on his Facebook page.

It is noteworthy that in a previous broadcast on UP (Ukrayinska Pravda), Yuri Nikolov referred to President Zelensky as a draft dodger. The journalist speculates that the incident outside his apartment may be connected to these statements. Nikolov also highlighted that the head of the National Police is already aware of the situation and there is a possibility of opening a criminal case for hindering legitimate journalistic activities. Additionally, Nikolov has published other investigations exposing corrupt schemes involving government officials.
