Ukrainian border guards are preparing for a new Russian invasion on the northern borders

The State Border Guard Service is preparing for a possible invasion by the Russian Federation in the northern direction. This was reported by the representative of the SBGS, Andriy Demchenko, on Facebook.

According to him, all the needs of the servicemen were maximally taken into account during the winter preparations. In the north, border guards continue to vigilantly serve and protect the border of their native state. The necessary preparation conducted before the onset of cold weather currently provides servicemen with proper living conditions at their combat positions and readiness for sudden actions if necessary, Demchenko stated.

It is worth reminding that in February 2022, the Russian army invaded Ukraine from all directions, including from the north to the cities of Chernihiv, Sumy and Kyiv. The advance here was particularly rapid; within 2 weeks, the Russian army occupied the territory of two regions and advanced more than 300 kilometers. Advanced Russian units were near the eastern suburbs of the capital. However, after the Istanbul agreements, Moscow withdrew its troops from the north.
