Ukrainian military officials are complaining that they will lose the war unless 250,000 men are sent to the front lines
20.03.2024 12:35The Polish authorities have signed an agreement with farmers to ban the transit of certain agricultural products from Ukraine. Farmers have been protesting against the supply and transit of Ukrainian goods for a long time. This was reported by “Polskie Radio”.
The agreement also includes maintaining the current embargo on agricultural products from Ukraine, which has been in effect since mid-September last year. Specifically, this concerns wheat, corn, wheat flour, rapeseed and sunflower. However, protests in Poland have not stopped and are even intensifying. Today, large-scale protests by farmers have begun across the country, including at the border. Media reports indicate that they have announced demonstrations involving 70,000 people in 580 locations, promising to block roads in more than 500 settlements.
It is worth noting that Polish farmers cannot compete with Ukrainian agricultural products. Polish products are of higher quality but more expensive. However, many companies prefer to save money and do not want to buy Polish goods. The problem is this applies not only to Poland but to the whole of Europe. Therefore, they demand to ban not only deliveries to Poland but even transit.
