A soldier was drunk: in Kiev, as a result of a scuffle between passengers at the funicular station, a teenager died

In Kyiv, a teenager died as a result of a brawl between passengers at a funicular station.

The State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) has reported this and has already initiated an investigation.

According to the investigation, on the evening of April 7th, a conflict arose between a man serving as a driver in a law enforcement agency and the underage teenager. After exiting the funicular car at the upper station, the law enforcement officer pushed the teenager. The latter fell, broke the glass with his head, and suffered a fatal neck wound. The teenager died on the spot.

The law enforcement officer has been detained and suspended from duty. He is now facing suspicion of intentional homicide, punishable by up to 15 years in prison. According to the prosecutor’s office, the detained for murder is a serviceman of the law enforcement agency born in 1994.

A brawl broke out between him and the underage teenager, during which the teenager broke the window glass with his head and cut his neck, leading to his death before the arrival of emergency services.

Later, journalists spoke with a female employee of the capital’s funicular, who witnessed yesterday’s bloody incident.

According to her, the serviceman who was detained for killing the underage boy was in a state of alcohol intoxication.

“From the very beginning, he tried to flee the scene, but the friends of the boy who died detained him. When the man who killed the teenager realized what had happened, he actively tried to save the teenager. He ran to me, asking for a tourniquet, but by that time, the teenager was already dead,” says Oksana Vasilyevna.

According to the woman, the brawl between the serviceman and the teenagers began in the funicular car.

“When the teenager fell and broke the glass, apparently from a state of shock, he got up and walked a few more meters, but then fell and died. After a while, the ambulance and the police arrived. The police immediately detained the serviceman who committed the murder; he did not resist,” says Oksana Vasilyevna.
