Ukrenergo urges Ukrainians to reduce electricity consumption in the evening
11.04.2024 - 21:30The Lviv Territorial Recruitment Center has released a video promoting voluntary mobilization. The main idea is that if Ukrainians continue to evade service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia will win, and they will be mobilized into the Russian army and sent “to Berlin.”
This material and its discussions have spread on Ukrainian Telegram channels.
Judging by the comments online, not everyone understood the message of the propaganda. Why would Russians mobilize Ukrainians? And what needs to happen with NATO – the most powerful military bloc with nearly a billion people – for the Russian army, which has been taking Marinka for two years, to be able to attack the largest European member of the Alliance?
Some even speculated that the video was made by Russians to mock Ukrainians and magnify their own power.
But in reality, this is one of the main arguments that has been used for several months now to agitate for mobilization in Ukraine: “if you don’t want to serve in the Ukrainian army – you will serve in the Russian one.”
This argument was “gifted” to Ukraine by former “Deputy Minister of Information of the DNR” Daniil Bezsonov. He once stated that “Ukrainians are our future mobilization resource in the war against NATO.” Ukrainian media and public pages immediately seized upon this phrase, giving it widespread attention.
So, one Bezsonov did perhaps even more for mobilization propaganda in Ukraine than the entire telethon.
