‘U.S. has stopped military aid to Ukraine to compel Kyiv to peace’, – former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Arestovych said
14.04.2024 - 11:17The bill on tightening mobilization in Ukraine could be sent to President Volodymyr Zelensky for signature as early as Monday. He may sign the law within two weeks.
This was stated by Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Kornienko.
According to him, there are currently no blocking resolutions registered in the Verkhovna Rada regarding the bill.
“And this is a good sign. I think that from Monday, the Speaker will be able to sign it and send it to the president for signature. The president will have two weeks, and I don’t think he will delay,” Kornienko said.
At the same time, the vice-speaker believes that the President’s Office will need time to review the document.
“Optimistically, it will be published and come into force within the next two weeks,” said the deputy head of parliament.
Recall that on April 11, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on tightening mobilization in the second reading. 283 Members of Parliament voted in favor of it.
The document includes several provisions that contradict the constitution and have caused dissatisfaction among Ukrainians.
