23.05.2024 - 08:50The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine and the National Police are conducting searches at the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) as part of an investigation into information leaks in a high-profile criminal case concerning the “Great Construction” project.
This information was reported by Ukrainian media, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
According to these sources, investigative actions are being carried out at the premises of Valeriy Polyuga, a detective at NABU, and Georgiy Birkadze, a former head of the Brovary District City Administration and a figure in the case.
Sources indicate that the basis for the searches is the disclosure of pre-trial investigation data by representatives of NABU in the interests of, among others, one of the figures in the anti-corruption investigation related to the “Great Construction” project, Yuriy Holyk, who was considered close to the former Deputy Head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
It is worth recalling that last year, NABU conducted a search at Yuriy Holyk, the coordinator of the national “Great Construction” program. According to media reports, the case concerned the embezzlement of funds during road construction in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
