30.05.2024 - 17:03Men in Ukraine may face fines of up to 25,000 hryvnias (570 euros) even if they have updated their information but do not carry their military registration document with them. A “Reserve+” certificate or an extract from the Center for Administrative Services is not sufficient.
This was stated by Roman Istomin, the spokesperson for the Poltava Territorial Recruitment Center.
“Male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 are required to carry their military registration document along with an identity document and present it upon request by an authorized representative of the Territorial Recruitment Center or a police officer. This requirement came into effect on May 18 of this year, and failure to comply will result in a fine ranging from 17,000 hryvnias (387 euros) to 25,500 hryvnias (570 euros),” Istomin said.
It should be noted that if a person does not have a military ID or has an expired medical commission, they must still go to the territorial recruitment center to renew their military medical commission, regardless of whether they have updated their information in “Reserve+” or not.
It was previously reported that the “Reserve+” app for Ukrainian conscripts will feature a QR code starting June 18, allowing electronic data to be used as a full-fledged military registration document.
The National Police also outlined measures to be taken against men without documents. According to Istomin, if a man stopped on the street is listed as wanted by the territorial recruitment center, the police will take him to the military enlistment office.
