04.06.2024 - 11:51The majority of Ukrainians reported a deterioration in the state of democracy and the economy during the five years of President Zelensky’s tenure.
This is indicated by a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
According to the survey, 43% of respondents said that the situation with democracy had worsened. 28% attributed this to the actions of the authorities, while 11% blamed the war. Another 29% stated that the situation had not changed and 19% saw an improvement.

A similar assessment applies to the economic situation. 49% said it had worsened (23% attributed this to the actions of the authorities and 16.5% to the war). 21% saw no change and 17% saw an improvement.

Additionally, according to a survey by the International Republican Institute, 89% of Ukrainians believe that the Verkhovna Rada should focus on ending the war and addressing issues related to military support and defense. 29% of Ukrainians surveyed said they “completely” or “mostly” trust the parliament.
It is also worth noting that President Volodymyr Zelensky’s support rating has fallen over the past six months. According to a survey by the Rating Group, in September 2023, 42% of respondents fully supported the president’s activities, while by February 2024, this figure had almost halved to 22%.
