17.06.2024 09:33In the Odesa region, a woman was fined 170,000 hryvnias (3,874 euros) for sharing information on Viber about locations where draft notices were being distributed.
In January, a resident of the Odesa region posted in a Viber chat about the locations of Territorial Recruitment Center checkpoints and their schedules for the next two weeks. The group where she shared this information had about 800 members.
The source of her information was not specified, but the details she shared were accurate, and according to the prosecution, their disclosure reduced the effectiveness of the recruitment officers’ operations.
The woman admitted her guilt. Considering her three young children, the court imposed a fine instead of a prison sentence.
Previously, there was news about a suspect who was the administrator of a Telegram channel that posted information about draft notice distribution locations in the Vinnytsia region.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the suspect “created and administered a Telegram channel that discredited the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during the period of martial law.”
