29.06.2024 - 11:57In the town of Vyshneve, Bucha district, Kyiv region, a man died due to power outages. He fell into an elevator shaft from the fifth floor.
This was reported by the regional police on their Facebook page.

Preliminary information indicates that during the day, when the apartment building lost power, the 66-year-old man was ascending in the elevator and got stuck between floors. Not waiting for rescuers to arrive, the elderly man attempted to get to the stairwell by opening the elevator doors but was unable to evacuate and fell into the shaft.
Rescuers arrived and extracted the man, who was still conscious. However, he died on the way to the hospital.
Meanwhile, “Ukrenergo” reports that power will be cut off throughout the day tomorrow. For comparison, the outage schedules over the past weekend were less severe.

Previously, a video appeared online showing a mother and son stuck on a Ferris wheel in Ivano-Frankivsk during a power outage. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service and police had to be called to get the visitors off the ride.
It was also reported that a critical incident occurred at a coke plant in Kryvyi Rih due to power outages. Workers had to resort to several crisis technological measures to preserve production equipment and ensure worker safety, according to the plant.
