While ordinary Ukrainians sit without electricity: it is +21°C in the Verkhovna Rada, +35°C outside – a video has emerged showing how Ukrainian MPs do not skimp on air conditioning and lighting

While the outdoor temperature reaches +35 degrees, the temperature in the Verkhovna Rada remains at +21 degrees.

MP Volodymyr Aryev posted a video showing that air conditioners are running at full capacity in the parliament.

He stated that similar temperatures are maintained in the President’s Office and the Cabinet of Ministers. Aryev also pointed out that all the chandeliers in the parliament are on during the day, while two-thirds of Kyiv is without electricity.

In recent days, several transformers at Ukrainian nuclear power plants have burned out due to the heat, exacerbating the problem of power outages.

Additionally, it was reported that a woman died from the heat on the overnight express train “Zaporizhzhia-Uzhhorod” while traveling to visit a friend in Stryi, Lviv region.

A fellow passenger mentioned that the compartment was unbearably hot and the air conditioner was not working. “Ukrzaliznytsia” has neither confirmed nor commented on the incident.
