A woman died from the heat in a night express train carriage from Zaporizhzhia to Uzhhorod without air conditioning

A woman traveling to visit a friend in Stryi, Lviv region, died from the heat on the overnight express train “Zaporizhzhia-Uzhhorod.”

This information reported according to the publication “Zakarpattia 24”.

A fellow passenger reported that the compartment was unbearably hot and the air conditioner was not working.

The company “Ukrzaliznytsia” has neither confirmed nor commented on the information.

Previously, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, urged people “not to make a tragedy” out of the abnormal heat in Ukraine amid the power shortage, which makes it impossible to constantly use air conditioning.
