23.07.2024 - 08:52The proportion of Ukrainians willing to relinquish territories for the sake of ending the war has tripled in a year.
This information reported according to a report by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
According to their data, in May, 32% of Ukrainians were willing to give up territories to end the war, compared to only 10% a year earlier.

This percentage remained around 10% since the beginning of the Russian invasion. However, between May and October 2023, during Ukraine’s unsuccessful counteroffensive, the percentage began to increase.
The number of those unwilling to give up territories decreased by 29% over the year (from May to May) – from 84% to 55%.
This trend is observed across all regions but is most pronounced in southern Ukraine.
Previously, media reports cited a survey indicating that 43.9% of Ukrainians believed it was time for peace negotiations with Russia.
Additionally, it has been reported that there is a growing number of supporters in Ukraine for ending the war through compromises with Russia.
