A recruitment center employee kicked him: in Kharkiv, military commissioners restrained and put a man into a car
26.07.2024 - 05:03Ukrainian businessman Vladislav Volodsky embezzled millions allocated for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to pay off personal debts.
This was reported by Ukrainian media.
Vladislav Volodsky and his father Alexei failed to fulfill contracts for the supply of food for the military, leaving them without provisions for three weeks. Despite this, their companies received additional contracts worth more than 11 billion UAH (approximately 246 million 060 thousand 790 euros). During the criminal investigation, it was revealed that the Volodsky companies supplied goods with a markup of up to 100%, resulting in state losses of more than 31 million UAH (approximately 693 thousand 444 euros). The money was likely used to purchase luxury cars.
The violations by the Volodsky family did not cause much public outcry. While the State Logistics Operator was signing contracts with the Volodsky companies, Vladislav Volodsky was in debt to banks and suppliers. The received state funds were used to pay off private debts rather than to supply food for the army.
Amid the failure of obligations by the company LLC “Tvoi Khleb,” the military in the Vinnytsia region had to source food on their own. The head of logistics for the 59th brigade reported that food supplies were only 45% fulfilled.
Moreover, the State Logistics Operator continues to sign dubious contracts. For instance, the consortium “UNITED FOOD GROUP,” created in May 2024, won a tender worth 11.5 billion UAH in June.
Journalists continue to monitor the development of events and have sent inquiries to the State Logistics Operator and the State Bureau of Investigations to clarify the situation with the new contracts and the responsibility of the Volodsky family.
