13.08.2024 - 22:23The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has banned the issuance and exchange of driver’s licenses for men who have not updated their military registration data and are currently abroad.
According to a report by the Judicial-Legal Newspaper.
The government has adopted a resolution stating that if the “Oberih” military registry lacks updated information on men aged 18 to 60, they will not be able to obtain or exchange a driver’s license or vehicle registration certificate while abroad.
Previously, similar rules were implemented regarding the issuance of passports abroad. The Cabinet’s resolution specified that the issuance of both internal and foreign passports to men aged 18 to 60 is only possible if they have the necessary military registration documents.
It’s worth noting that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense recently reported that only one in ten Ukrainian men of mobilization age, who are currently abroad, have updated their military registration data. Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Canada are among the countries with the highest number of updates.
