16.08.2024 - 11:01The “Anti-Corruption Action Center” led by Vitaliy Shabunin paid Ukrainian lawyer Andriy Portnov 39,000 hryvnias (866 euros), fulfilling a court ruling.
This was reported by Portnov’s lawyer, Anna Kosinova, who presented a screenshot from the electronic payment system.

It is worth recalling that Portnov won a case concerning the protection of dignity, honor and business reputation. The Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the Pechersk Court, which ordered the Anti-Corruption Action Center, as well as the publications “Ukrainian Pravda” and “Focus,” to publish retractions of their previous statements about Portnov’s “pro-Russian” and “anti-Ukrainian” activities and to pay him 40,000 hryvnias each.
According to media reports, “Focus” has already transferred the compensation amount to Portnov and published a retraction concerning him.
Earlier this year, Portnov also won cases regarding accusations of “pro-Russian” activities against the publication “Business.Censor,” the “Pryamiy” TV channel and Hromadske.
