18.09.2024 08:25In the Volyn region, representatives of the territorial recruitment center and the police forcefully detained a 22-year-old student who was not subject to mobilization.
This information reported according to local media reports.
The young man recounted that he was “pinned down,” with a knee placed on his throat, back and head, making it difficult for him to breathe and speak, after which he was handcuffed.
The police stated that the young man “categorically” refused to provide his documents, attempted to flee and resisted. A protocol was drawn up against him for disobeying the police. The young man filed a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine.
Additionally, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported an incident in Zakarpattia, where a woman claimed that her father died after being beaten by representatives of the territorial recruitment center.
According to Lubinets, the woman stated that her father was illegally detained by recruitment center staff. In her appeal to the Ombudsman’s representative, she indicated that the man was beaten, which led to his death.
