Ukrainian military reported a critical situation in Vuhledar
24.09.2024 - 23:38Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk was detained this morning in London.
This was reported by several Telegram channels, citing sources close to him.
It is known that an extradition trial is currently underway, and authorities are requesting that he be taken into custody as a preventive measure.
The day before his detention, MP Dmytruk gave a comment to *The Independent*, in which he stated, “there is currently political persecution against him and his family, against him personally for his political views and his support of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”
According to experts, a quick extradition is not expected in practice, but Dmytruk could be taken into custody as he has no connections in Britain.
It should be recalled that on August 25, media reports indicated that Member of Parliament Artem Dmytruk had left Ukraine. This fact was later confirmed by the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine.
Later, Dmytruk claimed that there was an attempt to kidnap his family in Europe.
