03.10.2024 - 14:17Ukrainian drone manufacturer “Ptashka Drones” has reported the abduction of its chief engineer, who specializes in developing counter-UAV systems, by staff from a territorial recruitment center.
The organization made this announcement on its Telegram channel.
According to the post, the engineer was mobilized while on his way to work.
“Less than a week remains until a critical deadline for our armored drone project. The engineer is officially employed and has documentation regarding civil-military obligations with military units, as well as ongoing contracts for the delivery of strike drones. We showed all the necessary documents and explained the situation. However, the Holosiivsky recruitment center in Kyiv decided that this ‘shooter’ would be more useful at training tomorrow,” the company stated.
Earlier, in September, there were reports from Kharkiv where recruitment center staff allegedly “abducted” a veteran of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), who was already prepared to serve.
In the summer, the wife of a volunteer from Rivne claimed that her husband had been kidnapped and tortured by recruitment officers. She said the incident occurred when they were returning from the frontlines after delivering humanitarian aid. The Ukrainian Armed Forces dismissed her claims as part of an enemy “information-psychological operation.”
