“The terrifying grinder”: if Ukraine doesn’t start negotiations, the front could collapse within 3-4 months”, – said Arestovych
06.10.2024 - 16:15A member of the religious organization “Jehovah’s Witnesses” won a court case against the Territorial Recruitment Center in the Odessa region.
This information was reported in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
According to the court ruling, the Territorial Recruitment Center fined the man 17,000 hryvnias (373 euros) for violating military registration rules, as he failed to update his personal information and register for military service. However, the member of “Jehovah’s Witnesses” proved in court that he had updated his military registration details through the “Reserve+” app within the legally required timeframe. The man had also repeatedly applied to various authorities, including the Territorial Recruitment Center, with a request to consider his case for alternative service, as he is a minister of a religious organization.
As a result, the court annulled the fine imposed by the Territorial Recruitment Center.
It is worth noting that earlier, Ukrainian authorities and court representatives stated that religious beliefs during martial law are not considered a valid reason for exemption from mobilization.
