In Ukraine, the creation of new brigades instead of replenishing old ones was explained
06.11.2024 - 10:31The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyi, published a statement on Facebook regarding the Kursk region. People’s Deputy Maryana Bezuhla described it as a “prelude to withdrawing troops from the Kursk region.”
Bezuhla posted about this on her social media.
The Commander-in-Chief wrote that the operation in the Russian region aimed to disrupt Moscow’s plans to advance in the Sumy direction from the Kursk region, a goal that was achieved, and Russia suffered significant losses.
“Currently, Russia seeks to push Ukrainian troops out of this territory. The enemy has concentrated around 45,000 soldiers there and is attempting to increase their number. Russia lacks sufficient forces for this direction, so they are trying to bring in troops from North Korea. The Russian occupiers intended to seize more territory in northern Ukraine in the Sumy region. However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces took a preemptive step and continue to destroy the enemy on its own territory,” Syrskyi’s statement reads.
Bezuhla believes that Syrskyi omitted mentioning the losses of the AFU and the consequences of the operation in the Kursk region for the Ukrainian front, and she suggested that Syrskyi “personally remain” in the Kursk region.
“Syrskyi paved the way for the withdrawal of troops from the Kursk region. But he did not mention how many territories in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions were ‘exchanged’ with the Russians during this time and how many Ukrainian citizens died. Maybe, Oleksandr Stanislavovych, you should stay there personally? Your own people will take you back, and we might at least breathe a sigh of relief,” the deputy commented on the commander’s post.
