The State Department neither confirmed nor denied permission for long-range strikes on Russia
19.11.2024 12:31The Russian army continues to advance in the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
This information was reported by the Ukrainian military Telegram channel Deep State.
Over the past day, Russian forces have made progress both within the city and on its northern flank.
Additionally, Ukrainian military observer Bohdan Myroshnykov noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ stronghold in the Klishchiivka area on the southern flank is close to falling.

“It seems that the Klishchiivka-Andriivka stronghold is nearing its final days. Holding something that has long been destroyed for 1.5 years is a superhuman effort.
In the context of operations in Chasiv Yar, this is obviously very bad news. It worsens our positions toward Kostyantynivka because after the collapse of the Klishchiivka stronghold, Chasiv Yar won’t be able to hold for long, especially since our defenses are again weakening there,” Myroshnykov wrote.

In turn, Julian Röpcke, a military observer for the German newspaper Bild, reported that Russian forces in Chasiv Yar are nearly at the “Avangard” stadium in the city center.
“Russian troops have been spotted for the first time in the center of Chasiv Yar. If we look at the surrounding area, it does not appear that there are many battle-ready Ukrainian soldiers around. We see ruins and the use of drones by Ukrainians to attack the Russians. This always indicates that the Russians already control the area, while Ukrainians use drones to attack them from roughly 100 meters to the west,” the journalist said.

Additionally, according to Deep State, over the past day Russian forces have advanced not only in Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region but also in neighboring Kalynivka, Toretsk, Kurakhove, Berestky, near Yurivka, and Rozdolne (toward Velyka Novosilka). There has also been recorded movement in the area of Pogrebky in the Kursk region of Russia.
Previously, Ukrainian military sources reported on a breakthrough by Russian forces toward the center of Chasiv Yar.
