Russian Forces captured five settlements in Donbas over the past day — Deep State

Russian forces captured five settlements in the Donetsk region over the past day.

This was reported by the Ukrainian military public platform Deep State.

In the “pocket” south of Kurakhove, they took Vesele Hai, Yelizavetivka, and Romanivka. However, the platform does not confirm the loss of Annivka, which had been reported by Russian sources and some Ukrainian military personnel.

According to Deep State, the “pocket” near Kurakhove has not yet been fully captured by Russian forces.

In the same area, Russian troops advanced near Konstyntynopil and Sukhi Yaly, moving closer to the road leading to Kurakhove, with only five kilometers remaining.

South of Pokrovsk, Novotroitske and Pushkino were captured, reducing the distance to the city’s southern outskirts to 1.5 kilometers.

A potentially dangerous situation has developed near Velyka Novosilka. Russian forces have moved closer to the road leading to the city from the Zaporizhzhia region. They are now just over 1.5 kilometers away from this route.

Cutting off both roads would mean the operational encirclement of Velyka Novosilka.

It is worth noting that following the Russian breakthrough near Pokrovsk and the operational encirclement of Ukrainian forces near Kurakhove, a replacement of the commander for these directions has occurred.
