“One draft notice or one draft dodger per day”: recruitment centers conceal the existence of mobilization plans for Ukrainians
24.12.2024 - 09:57In Lviv, eight police crews participated in the detention of a single man to deliver him to a territorial recruitment center.
A video of the incident surfaced on social media.
Shortly after the video was published, the police provided their version of events. According to law enforcement, the man was initially stopped for a traffic violation, and it was discovered that he was wanted for violating military service laws.
The man initially agreed to go with the officers for further verification but later made a phone call, after which a group of people arrived and “interfered with the lawful actions of the police.” The group reportedly “pulled on the officers’ uniforms and took a body camera from one of the officers.”
The man then complained about his health, prompting the arrival of an ambulance. However, the medics found no health issues.
Afterward, the man “voluntarily” went to the territorial recruitment center without the use of force, according to the police statement.
