28.01.2025 - 11:59In Bukovel, a group of men was denied ski rentals because their passports showed registrations from Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
This was reported by one of the individuals affected in a video statement.
“We were told, ‘We won’t give you skis with Donetsk and Luhansk passports.’ That’s how our vacation in Bukovel started. ‘And anyway, it’s because of you that the war began,’” the man recounted in the video.
He expressed his frustration, pointing out the contradiction between the idea of national unity and such incidents.
“They say the east and west are together, that we’re one country… I’m proud to be from Donetsk, and the guys are proud to be from Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. But Dzvin-Ski couldn’t care less,” he said.
In the video, he also showed an employee who allegedly accused residents of eastern regions of provoking the war and refused to provide them with equipment.
The ski rental network Dzvin-Ski, where the incident occurred, has not yet commented on the situation.
Previously, media reported that Odesa-based blogger Max Rudade received threats after conducting street interviews in Russian in Lviv. He was accused of opposing the language law and mocking Ukrainians.
