“Russian troops are advancing”: Britain explained Putin’s confidence in victory
29.01.2025 - 13:13The deployment of German peacekeepers to Ukraine is impossible.
This according to Johann Wadephul, deputy head of the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) faction in the German parliament. Wadephul made this statement while speaking with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, who posed as Andriy Yermak.
“You mean ground troops, a contingent on the ground? I think for Germany and for other European countries, a German military contingent in Ukraine is impossible. According to the German constitution, it is a very complicated procedure. By law, we practically cannot do this,” Wadephul said.
He also noted that the German public would not support such a move.
It is worth mentioning that a representative of the CDU/CSU is expected to become Germany’s next chancellor after the snap elections in February.
Meanwhile, just yesterday, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that France is considering sending troops to Greenland in response to Donald Trump’s remarks about the necessity of annexing the island to the U.S. According to Barrot, he has already discussed the issue with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
