“The West is pumping Kyiv with weapons despite negotiations,” – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Galuzin said
10.02.2025 06:45Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, has commented on the conditions under which a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv could be reached.
This information reported in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Nebenzya stated that a peace treaty with Ukraine could only be signed with a legitimate government in Kyiv. He emphasized that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously banned negotiations with Russia by decree. However, according to Nebenzya, Zelensky’s term in office expired in May 2024.
“It is fundamentally important that the people signing the peace agreements have legitimate authority to do so,” he noted.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the issue of presidential elections in Ukraine is crucial for future negotiations with Russia.
“It is clear that the leader of the Kyiv regime is not particularly fond of this topic,” Peskov added.
