U.S. President Donald Trump does not intend to tolerate the escalation of rhetoric from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This warning was issued by White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz in an interview with Fox News.

According to Waltz, Washington is dissatisfied with the rhetoric coming from Ukrainian authorities in response to proposed economic initiatives, including the issue of using natural resources in exchange for aid. The official emphasized that American taxpayers have the right to see a return on the money invested in Ukraine.

“This gives Ukraine opportunities, and they need to recognize what this really means. But instead, we are met with escalating rhetoric and resistance, which the president [Trump] is not willing to tolerate,” the official said.

Earlier, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance warned Zelensky against attacking Trump.

“Everyone who knows President [Trump] will tell you that this is a disgraceful way to engage with this administration,” he said.
