After Zelensky’s conflict with Trump, Arestovych urged Ukrainians to “pack emergency bags”
02.03.2025 - 14:37Prominent conservative television host Tucker Carlson, who is known to be close to U.S. President Donald Trump, has called for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to face charges over alleged political assassinations and the illegal resale of weapons.
Carlson made the statement in a post on his social media account on X.
He also pointed to what he described as a “stunning” shift in stance from Senator Lindsey Graham, who went from being a strong supporter of Zelensky to calling for his resignation.
Carlson called it “one of the most remarkable moments of Zelensky’s press conference yesterday.”
“They were longtime friends, but Graham disowned him within an hour. This was more than just a temporary act of disloyalty. This was scapegoating. Lindsey Graham knows what’s coming next,” Carlson wrote.
He further accused the Ukrainian government of committing major crimes with the “silent approval of its Western backers.”
“Over the past three years, the Ukrainian government has committed a significant number of serious crimes. They have sold massive amounts of American weapons on the international black market for twenty cents on the dollar. This weaponry is now in the hands of armed groups across the world, including Hamas, Mexican drug cartels, and forces currently controlling Syria. God knows what the Ukrainians have done with pathogens from U.S. biolabs in their country. Even American intelligence services have no certainty about that. Ukrainians have also carried out political assassinations in multiple countries and attempted to kill others, including American journalists and the head of a European state. All of this is true, and eventually, it will come to light. It’s better to start holding Zelensky accountable now,” Carlson wrote.
