04.03.2025 - 13:11Elon Musk, a close associate of Donald Trump, has called on Volodymyr Zelensky to step down from power, leave Ukraine for a neutral country, and receive amnesty in return.
He made this statement on his social media platform, X.
The billionaire was responding to a post by American right-wing political commentator Rogan O’Handley, who wrote:
“Zelensky knows that if the war ends, his power ends.”
“True,” Musk agreed.
“As unpleasant as it may be, Zelensky should be offered some form of amnesty in a neutral country in exchange for a peaceful transition to democracy in Ukraine,” he added.

Yesterday, Trump stated that opponents of establishing peace in Ukraine “won’t last long,” which many interpreted as a hint at Zelensky’s potential departure.
Trump has also repeatedly criticized Zelensky for refusing to hold elections and has pointed to his declining popularity among Ukrainians.
“He refuses to hold elections. His approval rating in real Ukrainian polls is low. How can you be popular when every city is being destroyed? It’s hard to be popular. Someone said, ‘Oh no, his ratings are good.’ Come on. Every city has been turned into ruins,” Trump said during a business conference in Miami.
