The West has stated that Ukraine is helpless on the battlefield without U.S. support

Ukraine and European countries will be unable to counter Russia’s battlefield successes without support from the United States.

This statement was made by University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer during an interview on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

“The U.S., Eastern Europeans, Western Europeans, and Ukraine—all four actors together—have failed to defeat Russia on the battlefield, and Russia is winning against all four,” Mearsheimer noted.

He argued that Europeans and Ukrainians will ultimately be unable to withstand Russian forces on the battlefield. The expert also urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to realistically assess the situation and agree to Trump’s peace initiatives.

Earlier, Elbridge Colby, a candidate for the position of U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs, stated that the suspension of American military aid to Kyiv is part of Donald Trump’s plan for conflict resolution.

Before that, Fox News, citing the White House, reported that the U.S. is halting all military assistance to Ukraine. Deliveries will not resume until Kyiv demonstrates a commitment to peace negotiations. In response, the Kremlin stated that Ukraine would lose most of its ammunition and equipment if the U.S. suspends supplies.
