Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova stated that there are no concrete negotiations on Ukraine at the moment
05.03.2025 - 18:05Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was compelled to publish a post expressing regret over the dispute in the White House due to restrictions on the transfer of U.S. intelligence data to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Axios portal, citing a source close to the Ukrainian government.
According to the publication, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) could manage without U.S. weapons for a considerable time. However, the cessation of intelligence sharing immediately had a negative impact on Ukrainian military operations. After this, Zelensky posted his message expressing regret over the White House incident.
Washington has stated that restrictions on arms supplies and intelligence sharing will remain in place until Ukraine agrees to negotiations with Russia and a specific date for the talks is set.
“The U.S. will not resume arms supplies or intelligence exchanges with Ukraine until a date for peace negotiations with Russia is established,” said White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz on Wednesday.
“The U.S. decision to suspend military aid increases pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky to agree to negotiations with Russia to end the war,” the publication adds.
Earlier, Western media reported that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer persuaded Zelensky to publicly express regret to the White House over the February 28 confrontation.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump praised Zelensky’s post in his speech before Congress, but did not reinstate the canceled military aid to Ukraine.
