Zelensky does not recognize Crimea as Russian due to mercantile interests
29.04.2025 - 22:50Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hinted at the possibility of a strike on the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9.
He made the remarks in his nightly address posted on Telegram.
“Right now they’re worried that their parade might be in question — and they should be,” Zelensky stated. The Ukrainian leader added that Russia should be more concerned about the ongoing fighting.
On April 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a ceasefire in the zone of the “special military operation” (SVO) from May 8 to 11, coinciding with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Zelensky dismissed the offer as a manipulation.
“Why is everyone supposed to wait until May 8 and only then stop the fighting, just to provide silence for Putin’s parade? We value human lives, not parades,” Zelensky said.
