Trump called for a 30-day unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump has called for a 30-day unconditional ceasefire across the entire territory of Ukraine.

He made the statement on his social media platform Truth Social.

“Negotiations with Russia and Ukraine are ongoing. The United States is calling for, ideally, a 30-day unconditional ceasefire,” Trump wrote.

He expressed hope that both sides would respect the ceasefire.

“If the ceasefire is not upheld, the U.S. and its partners will impose further sanctions. Thousands of young soldiers are dying every week, and everyone should want this to stop. As president, I remain committed to securing peace between Russia and Ukraine together with the Europeans—and it will be a strong peace. This ceasefire should ultimately move toward a peace agreement. All of this can happen very quickly, and I will be available at any time if my services are needed. Thank you for your attention to this issue!” Trump added.
