Zakharova suggested that European officials should throw themselves in the trash

European officials should sanction themselves and throw the package in the trash.

This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by TASS.

“I believe this package should include the useless EU Euro-bureaucrats themselves, and then the whole thing should be thrown into a dumpster,” she said.

Zakharova also remarked that, in her view, European officials are wasting EU citizens’ money on escalating the conflict in the region instead of focusing on the well-being of their own populations.

Earlier, the EU Council approved its 17th sanctions package against Russia, which includes restrictions targeting 189 tankers used for the maritime transport of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
