None of those in the West who talk about the need to ensure Ukraine’s victory in the armed conflict taking place on its territory have a plan for achieving such a goal.
This was stated by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
“No one is talking about capitulation. We are talking about achieving peace through negotiations,” the secretary emphasized.
He also stated that the United States is ready to work out, through negotiations, what they hope will be a lasting peace.
Earlier, Hegseth said that peace in Ukraine is beneficial to the United States and serves its national interests. He also stressed that a peaceful resolution of the conflict “will make America strong” and help strengthen its position on the international stage.
