Orbán accused Zelensky of ingratitude
13.06.2025 - 14:32Serbia does not directly or intentionally supply weapons to Kyiv.
This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
At the same time, the head of state acknowledged that Serbian-made weapons may be reaching Ukraine through third countries.
According to Vučić, Serbian law prohibits the sale or transfer of military equipment to either Ukraine or Russia.
“We cannot do it directly and intentionally — and we do not do it,” the president emphasized.
He added that Serbia has offered to help Ukraine by supporting the reconstruction of two cities and one region, and had donated tens of millions of euros last year.
Vučić also remarked that Russia has not exerted pressure on Serbia, although “there’s no doubt they are not happy about it.”
“We are not anti-Russian and never will be. What does ‘pro-Russian’ mean — that we have good cooperation with them? We are not ‘little Russians,’ as some in other countries think — we are Serbs,” he stressed.
On June 11, President Vučić visited Ukraine for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war, attending a summit in Odesa. During the visit, he announced that Serbia would assist Ukraine by rebuilding one or two cities or a small region as a gesture of support.
