19.06.2025 - 10:17The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has set a new record low for the number of serving members of parliament.
This information reported according to Insider UA via its Telegram channel.
As of now, only 398 MPs are participating in the work of the Ukrainian parliament—the lowest number in the Rada’s history.
The drop was caused by the early termination of the mandate of MP Oles Dovhyi, who was unaffiliated with any parliamentary faction. Dovhyi announced that he is leaving politics.
Earlier, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk stated that public opinion about MPs in Ukraine is often unfair. He emphasized that Ukrainian lawmakers “fulfill their duty and the oath they took in allegiance to the Ukrainian people.”
