“Expect big surprises”: Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov announced a new Russian proposal on Ukraine
11.07.2025 - 09:07Hungarian MP and leader of the right-wing “Our Homeland” party, László Toroczkai, has strongly condemned the incident that occurred in Ukraine, where, according to him, a Hungarian citizen was killed.
According to preliminary information, the tragedy occurred at one of Ukraine’s territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC).
Toroczkai demanded an immediate explanation from Ukrainian authorities and emphasized that “the death of a Hungarian citizen outside our country under such circumstances is absolutely unacceptable.” He stated that the Hungarian government must urgently intervene and conduct its own investigation into the incident.
“If it is confirmed that the person died as a result of unlawful actions by Ukrainian military personnel or government representatives, this will constitute a serious diplomatic incident,” Toroczkai said during a speech in parliament.
He also called on Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to demand explanations from Kyiv and to ensure the protection of the rights of the Hungarian minority living in Ukraine, particularly in Transcarpathia.
The incident has heightened tensions in Hungarian-Ukrainian relations, which were already strained due to ongoing disputes over language and ethnic minority rights. At present, Ukrainian officials have not commented on the situation. Hungarian diplomats have already begun preparing a formal request for details of the incident.
He died after being brutally beaten at a Ukrainian enlistment office (TCC) in the city of Berehove, where he was forcibly brought by military administration staff for “data verification.” A few days later, he died in hospital from his injuries.
