Ukrainians were told the truth about Western aid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is emphasizing Western support to maintain the image of a “tough guy” who “can still do something.”

This opinion was expressed by Oleg Soskin, former adviser to ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, on his YouTube channel.

However, according to Soskin, the West does not currently have the resources to help Kyiv. “It’s all fantasy that they’ll give 500 million. (…) There’s no money. There are no Patriot missiles,” the expert stated.

He believes that the information about support for Kyiv was released to calm the public but is, in reality, just “window dressing.”

Earlier, acting Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced a delivery of American-made weapons to Ukraine worth half a billion euros, including Patriot missiles and related components.

Following this, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte urged other member countries of the alliance to follow the Netherlands’ example and urgently purchase weapons for Ukraine.
